Formerly known as Bebop Dance & Stage Academy which was founded by Clair Talbot in 1997, now known as BCollective Performing Arts. BCollective was created and now run and directed by Principal Lauren Baldwin since 2019. As a family run business with 20+ years experience, we work continuously to deliver excellent Performing Arts classes for children aged 15 months to 16 years. Known for our success within the Arts and proud to be a fully inclusive Performing Arts school, we open our doors to every child, enabling them the chance to explore the Arts in an enjoyable, supportive and a highly regarded environment. Our passion to offer accessible, professional but affordable classes will continue to be evident in our work.
We offer a dynamic range of classes, specialising in Modern and Contemporary Dance, Creative Dance, Gymnastics for Dance, Tots Ballet, and exhilarating Musical Theatre and Singing classes. Our approach transcends traditional, exam-based learning, focusing instead on nurturing student creativity and blending various dance styles. We also emphasise the importance of healthy dance practices and artistic anatomy, especially for our older students.
Every 18 months, our students from age 2 and up take centre stage in a variety show, performing at a local theatre. We also participate in charitable events, fetes, carnivals, and competitions across London, Essex, and surrounding areas. Our commitment to quality education is reflected in our team of experienced teachers, each holding enhanced DBS checks, First Aid training, and Child Safeguarding certificates.
Whether classes with us are purely just for fun or to begin a journey towards a career in the Performing Arts, we strive to provide the very best opportunities for our students. Our goal is to consistently support each student and their progression during their time with us, we continuously assess our students and their development to ensure they are in the correct classes for their ability and that they feel completely at ease and comfortable within our learning environment. Here at BCollective PA we promote the importance of individuality and equality. We feel extremely passionate about accessible learning centres for children from all backgrounds. Our classes are open to every child no matter their dance or theatre background, also encouraging the inclusion of children with any additional needs.
Ensuring a safe, friendly and welcoming school for our students and their families is paramount, as well as the standard of teaching we deliver. Our school is a place for learning, growing, building and supporting!

I haven’t been at B Collective for that long, but I must say it is an amazing place, everyone is so welcoming. After a long day of school, I always come home and look forward to coming to B Collective, the positive atmosphere is amazing. The teachers are lovely and everyone involved with B Collective are too, I’m so happy to say I’m part of the family.
